Remember, You Can't Give Up

Remember, you can't give up! Just because one company doesn't want your product, that doesn't mean it is not good. When I came up with The Lettuce Cutter, I hired a local company to do my prototype (a sample of the design). Later I searched for any company through the Thomas Register (I'll explain what that is later) and I found a company that fitted with what I was offering. One day I met with a company that loved it. They were quite a small company, but they were quite experienced in placing their line of products that are already out there. I liked them and also because they are in the Chicagoland area. The day before I was to sign a contract with them, they backed down and confessed they did not have the money to promote it, etc. They would have had to invest like $20,000 just to get it started. But they too said they really liked it. My contract indicated that they would have to cover all costs towards the producing, marketing, etc., of The Lettuce Cutter The economy took a down turn and it had really affected them. That was a bummer, I thought. But the experience of being able to show my product, my invention was a good one. I have not given up.
