Investment Angels

What are investment angels? No, they aren't rich people with wings. They are more like the rich people part. Mr. Jeffrey Sohl, Director of the Center for Venture Research at the University of New Hampshire, estimates that there are at least 400,000 angel investors that invest a lot of money (in the billions) a year in start-up businesses. Now where can I find these angel investors? That is a question you're asking right now, right? You can actually place an ad in the newspaper, if your state allows. There are angel investors that purposefully seek people like you. Your ad could say something like, "Start-up business seeking financial partner. Relatively small investment required. Call 555-0101 for business plan and details." Now, please be careful with seeking these people on the internet. There are many oportunist seeking to scam, so please be careful.  There are other angel investors that you might even now. It could be your banker, your doctor, your dentist or your rich uncle. If people really discern that you are serious about your invention, and if they see you have something that could be lucrative, they just might be that angel you are looking for. Now you will have to make clear with them about the risks involved. Any investment could be a risk. But in life we must take risks. Now please don't put up your house as collateral.   But do let your prospective partner know that your risk could bring a significant return on the investment made. Now back to the internet search for angel investors. You could do an internet search by typing in a variety of key words such as:  angel investors, seed money, seed finance, investment angels, angel finance, angel organizations. If you have any questions about that, just leave me a comment and I'll respond.

  1. I love this blurb about angel investors, my husband is always talking about hopefully being one himself one day and helping other entrepreneurs achieve their dreams.
